The Club Beatz online concert is back in Uganda after some months of non activity. The online show has made a return to the musical scene in a bid to support Ugandan artistes that have been in lockdown for 2 years now.
Today at 8pm, the show will be airing once again to entertain Ugandans that are currently held up in a government imposed lockdown of 42 days.
The show will have performances from top artists such as Ziza Bafana, Sheebah Karungi and Mudra who have all been in high gear of preparation ever since this week started.
Obviously by now, they have already finished recording the show and the live pictures will be relayed to us this evening via YouTube and Club Pilsener's social media pages.
Club beer says the show is live but in all its previous episodes, the show has never been live simply because Internet in Uganda has a lot of big problems associated with it.
So the unstable and costly Internet forces the organisers of the Club Beatz At Home Online concert to record it at least a day before.
Who will be hosting the show
According to Club Beer, the show will be hosted by NBS After 5's Douglas Lwanga who has been hosting all its previous seasons apart from season one that was hosted by bummy Martha Kay.
Aside from the show's host, there are other goodies to be won during the show such as beers and free 10 Gb of data which will be given to any lucky winner who purchases atleast 10 bottles of Club Pilsener from beernow.ug
The lucky winner is chosen after posting his or her picture of their confirmed order and sending it to Club Pilsener's social media pages.
How Did Club Beatz at Home start
Last year during the total lockdown similar to the current lockdown we are in, the management of Club Pilsener that have always been a big part of Ugandan music concerts decided to start the online concert.
This was to save the entertainment industry from getting irrelevant since physical concerts had been banned by the president in March 2020.
Club Beatz at Home's first concert aired in April of 2020 and had super talented musicians like A Pass, Ykee Benda, Irene Ntale that got fans yearning for the next episode.
And from then onwards, the online show became a weekly constant, showing atleast one new episode every single week on Saturday at 8pm.
At the time Club Beer thought of this initiative, individual artistes had already started organising online concerts but none of them were organised to the dot in terms of sound and video quality.
This is because of what we had earlier discussed, Uganda's poor Internet! and other factors like shortage of funds which is unheard of at Club Pilsener.
