Singer Eddy Kenzo recently lost his cool during a performance in Bwera, Kasede when he thumped one of his fans with a microphone, completely forgetting that he was performing for a large crowd of revelers hence earning himself a crude reputation (well that is according to a few revelers.)
In a video that has been doing the rounds online, Eddy Kenzo was showered with what has been discovered to be a soft drink(But why would a fan pour a performer drinks while he is on stage??) and as he was singing, he could not hide his irritation. His anger got the best of him and he threw his microphone, aiming for the goon that had showered him with a soft drink.
Kenzo mentioned that he was unapologetic for what transpired and even when he received criticism from a few of his fans, he mentioned that he was not sorry for disciplining his fan( well he has a right to demand for respect as he performs). Eddy Kenzo however seems to have changed his mind as he came out to apologise to his fans for his violent reaction.
Kenzo says the soft drink was mixed with alcohol, and it is the reeking smell of it that irked him hence reacting violently. Being a Muslim, some people should understand that alcohol is simply a taboo in the eyes of the singer hence his fan should have known better and respected his religious limitations.
Although he has earlier said he was unapologetic, Kenzo has made a U-turn and apologized to his fans saying that, he shouldn’t have done what he did. He mentioned that his fans expected better from him and he should not have reacted that way Infront of them.
"My fans expect better from me. I know and I regret my actions. I think this guy was sent by people who want to taint my image, but it’s fine. I forgive him,” says Eddy Kenzo.
