Fans and followers of Alien Skin were mighty disappointed when Alien Skin came out and mentioned that he was cancelling the long awaited and much anticipated “Nkwacho Festival". Even when the real reason for this halt was still unknown, there were still allegations going around in corridor talk that it was due to a fall out between Alien Skin and his promoter Abitex.
Well, we have caught wind of the reason as to why the show was halted and it was revealed by none other than events promoter Andrew Mukasa Alfonso alias Bajjo Events. Bajjo came out and revealed that Alien Skin requested a humongous sum of Ugx 100 Million from Abitex for the planned Nkwacho festival.
Alien Skin had however earlier on revealed how he had halted the “Nkwacho” festival on the grounds that events promoter Abitex wanted to steal from him. Alien Skin called off the event which was scheduled to take place at Buloba Forex Park Resort on 27th August 2023. He then took it upon himself to mention that he was to communicate the new venue and other details in the near future.
However, according to Bajjo, Alien and Abitex’s fallout started from failure to agree on monetary terms, as the singer had requested Ugx 100 Million for the event. With a promise to shortly deliver him the remaining money, Abitex gave Alien Ugx 10m as the booking fees.
Bajjo recollects however that when Alien noticed that the festival dates were approaching but that the promoter had not yet given him his outstanding balance, he immediately cancelled the event, saying that he wasn’t ready to deal with someone who wanted to steal from him.
Bajjo however went on to reveal that Abitex had already made a Ugx 15 million reservation for the Buloba venue, and paid running adverts on several media outlets hence earning him losses that came with the cancellation of the show. Bajjo also said that Abitex intends to sue Alien Skin for causing him a loss of millions of money.
