When it comes to finding the best partner in regards to downplaying NUP and it's leader Bobi Wine, Frank Gashumba shall forever remain the best candidate for the job. Every time a query about Bobi Wine or his political party arises, Gashumba is always ready to spill some beans and destroy face of the self proclaimed revolutionary leader. According to Gashumba, NUP is so full of hypocrisy and bad mind people.
The outspoken and ferocious Gashumba criticized NUP for failure to contribute to one of their strong member’s wedding, Moses Bigirwa. Bigirwa a strong NUP member who has been arrested almost on every NUP chaotic event, been tortured and wagged, came out to criticize of the party’s segregation. He mentioned that despite his sacrifice for the struggle and party, nothing was contributed towards his wedding budget of 95m shillings. He had to chop it down and operate on a smaller budget.
Frank Gashumba said that the only reason Bigirwa wasn’t given any contribution is because he’s not an MP, therefore he is not considered as an important person to the party. He mentioned that despite NUP being the second richest party after NRM, Bobi Wine only cares about himself, his family and inner circle of close friends.
According to Gashumba, Bobi Wine found the right spot when he traveled to Ukraine recently. This is because all he and his party do are not activities of a political party but rather jokers. Gashumba further stated that NUP is not a political party but rather the media that makes it seem one but in reality it is not.
“Bobi Wine has luckily found the right spot where he belongs in Ukraine. Those are comedians just like him and he should stay there. I don’t find his party NUP as a political party. Its rather an NRM extension,” said Gashumba.
Bobi Wine did return to the country though after spending a number of days on official party duties abroad and these included visiting the war torn Ukraine where he applauded the fighting spirit of the citizens against Russian aggression.
