Manchester United registered its biggest win of this Premier League season last night as they cruized 3-0 past Merseyside club Everton at the Goodinson Park.
Despite not having injuries and being under pressure to deliver results, Erik Ten Hag put together a rather formidable line up that saw him leave with all the three point. Youngster Alejandro Garnacho stepped up in the 3rd minute of the first half to meet Diogo Dalot's cross and scored a goal of the season stunner.
The Argentinian is a big fan of former United star Cristiano Ronaldo and idolizes the Portuguese a lot. He went on to show his respect by celebrating his over head kick goal with Ronaldo's SIUUUUUUUUUU. His goal has been likened to anothe United legend, Wayne Rooney's goal he scored against Man City in 2014, many stating that Garnacho's is better.
While Garnacho's goal stole the show, another interesting future prospect was tearing up the midfield. 18year old Kobie Maino, who's United's academy graduate was handed his first Premier League start over Amrabat and he didn't disapoint at all.
The teenager made brilliant tackles, held possesion strongly and made some great through balls to. In the 31st minute he made a briliant clearance as Onana, Maguire and Lindelof had been beaten and the ball was just about to cross the line when the young Eglish man cleared it off.
United's brilliance continued in the second half despite constant attacks from Everton players. Onana managed to make very good saves throughout the match and in the 55th minute, Macus Rashford doubled United's lead after converting from the spot kick. This was Rashford's first goal in over 3months and you could tell he desrved it.
Anthony Martial too appeared on the scoreline, meeting Bruno Fernandes' pass in the 77th minute to chip Everton's Jordan Pickford to give United their third goal of the night. The match ended in a 3-0 victory for the visitors and Onana's cleansheet saw him tied on the most cleansheets.
