Drama artist, actor and veteran singer Paul Kato Lubwama has gone bare Knuckles on General Salim Saleh with claims that he is the biggest problem of the creative and performing arts industry in Uganda.
In his rant through his official YouTube channel in the names of “Kato Lubwama Official”, the former Rubaga South Constituency legislator says that Saleh, who also doubles as the national coordinator of OWC - Operation Wealth Creation has destroyed their industry that they have built for over 36 years in the guise of helping artists.
“Gen. Saleh should stop fooling us that he is helping us yet he is causing confusion within us, why did he give shs 2bn to dealers who are not even artistes ? How do you give Balam and Ojede of National Theatre money to share among artistes yet these crooks are not artists?” Kato Lubwama asked!
Lubwama adds that the money was meant to be distributed to artistes but to date they have never received a penny. He promised to lead other artistes in staging a massive demonstration to push Saleh out of their arts industry if he does not stop poking his crafty hands in their issues.
