The issue of domestic violence has become a hot topic of debate all over the media as well as on the lips of Netizens after the public learnt that the famous Mayanja brother and artiste, Douglas Mayanja, aka Weasel, has subjected his girlfriend Sandra Teta to abuse for years and she has been taking it all in, not finding the courage to report to police or run for her life.
It is argued however that she loves her hubby too much ansd she is not willing to lose her marriage, choosing to pay a 'little' sacrifice of enduring battering just to stay in a stable marriage. Even when the entire World has come out to make her réalisé that it is okay for a marriage not to work out and it is okay to walk away from such a marriage, she has not taken any heed to all this hence she chooses to stay.
Recently during an interview with Sanyuka TV, Luga Flow artiste Gravity Omuttuju left many jaws dropped after he declared that beating women is fun and some people do it because they enjoy doing it. When he was asked why men beat women in accordance to the recent news going around about the Weasel -Teta saga, he gave a small laugh as he shook his head before saying women are fun to beat.
"We enjoy it. We simply enjoy it a lot." Gravity mentioned.
When he was asked directly about his take on the situation of Weasel and how this entire domestic violence issue has affected his music career, he jokingly stated that Weasel had not even thumped her with much force because had it been him beating her, no one would even recognize her.
I beat... if Weasel beats her, he used less energy. I beat really hard." He said while laughing
