With all the public trolling that singer Eddy Kenzo is going through over his comments on the issue of redoing the late Philly Bongole Lutaaya's song poorly, it seems that the public has turned against him for belittling the late Philly after he said there is no song that the deceased sang that could be a potential hit yet he himself has made it very far in the music industry. Well, even singer Ykee Benda, has come out and confirmed that he is more talented than Eddy Kenzo.
Ykee Benda, who has largely rooted for Kenzo after the Grammy Award nominee’s remarks against the late music Legend, Philly Bongole Lutaaya, backfired and also decided to make use of the public criticism towards Kenzo to earn himself some credit. (We are only human after all)
Taking to his socials, Ykee, wondered why the likes of South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka used to fill stadiums back in the days, yet Philly Bongole Lutaaya, who happened to sing in the same era barely filled any stadiums.
His statement came as a message for Kenzo’s critics, claiming that in this era, musicians are blessed with countless platforms to air their music to a larger audience. According to Ykee, Philly was overated because even without internet, other musicians in other countries were filling stadiums unlike The late Philly.
“If there was no internet in those times, how come the Yvonne Chaka Chaka of those times filled stadiums in Africa and not the Ugandan artistes? – Eddy Kenzo wacha excuses and gives people their flowers while they live. You lose nothing by stating the obvious.” He wrote.
Responding to him, one of his fans wasn’t about to have any of it as he told him that there is really nothing special about Eddy Kenzo and even he, Ykee is way better than Eddy Kenzo musically.
“There is nothing special about Kenzo. In fact you are more talented than Kenzo,” the fan commented
To this, Ykee readily agreed, saying he also knows he is better than Kenzo however much Kenzo has achieved more than he has in the music I dusty so far.
“That’s not a debate. that’s very true… but he has achieved more than me so far… that’s also true. Have I died for stating those two facts ?? Nasaako Omukono MpakaBoss.”
