Kampala Weather goes Savage on Tiwa

Kampala, Nigerian star, Tiwa Savage has been treated to an all wet experience thanks to Kampala's non-forgiving night rain.

The rain that started at about 7pm in most areas of Kampala has watered the entire city to the extent of the main electricity provider, "Umeme" pulling its plug, in short, power has been cut in many areas.

Revellers who had already secured the expensive concert tickets have been spotted under big tents at the venue hoping for a miracle to take the rain away but the Kampala skies have been saying otherwise since 7pm. Continuous drizzles instead is what has been happening and those who paid 120K VIP tickets have been seen cursing.

It is also reported that coloured water has been seen dripping from the, venue  Lugogo cricket oval due to presence of many slay Queens that have been in direct contact with the rain.  The ticket prices are also down according to our viba sources with entry going for as low as 10K Ugandan shillings instead of earlier advertised 50K.

Galaxy FM, a popular local radio station also snooped around.

They confessed that the rain has done a disservice to the Queen of afrobeats and that their photographer was contemplating playing football in the vast open space of cricket oval since there are few fans in the audience.

Ugandans on social media have also faulted Tiwa's concert organisers for not collaborating with Balaam, a local events organiser who is well known for arranging perfect concerts. They say, rain has never been cited at any single Balaam event and even when it threatens to, it always somehow goes away.

People attribute this to Balaam's unknown rain maker whom they say has the ability to chase rain during his events.

Before today, people were busy speaking of how cricket oval, the concert venue for Tiwa's concert needed water after hosting a couple of events. The venue hosted Blankets and Wine last Sunday and just 2 weeks ago also hosted the Club Dome concert which featured Adekunle Gold and South Africa’s Costa Titch.

Now that the water has come, I wonder what people will say.

Winnie Nwagi in the midst of the rain today also announced her upcoming concert at this same venue. She, together with her record label Swangz Avenue stated that her concert will take place on 9th September at Lugogo Cricket oval. This news did not go down well with some people who had already arrived for Tiwa's concert reason being, Winnie Nwagi is one of the expected performers of the night and instead of inviting people for tonight's show, she was busy pushing her own agenda.
