Yesterday, National Unity Platform member and one of the lawyers of party president, Nkunnyingi Muwada, who's also the member of parliament for Kyadondo East was arrested in areas of Kasangati with other party supporters while trying to donate equipment used in fighting covid-19.
Muwada and the team were moving through people and this led to crowding, which is currently against the covid-19 guidelines. So police had to come and disperse the masses.
A misunderstanding broke out between the police and Muwada with his team. According to them, they had done nothing wrong and saw no reason for halting their activity. However the police were seeing otherwise.
In the end, Muwada and some of his entrounge were arrested and taken to police where they spent the night. As of now, the MP/lawyer was given bail and released but was cautioned against converging big masses.
