Opposition's strongest opponent and National Unity Platform flag barer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has earlier today held his new year's address which aired live on his Facebook page and YouTube from his home in Magere.
Kyagulanyi talked about a number of issues, among which was to send warning to the current president, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, whom he requested to be true to his word and let democracy rule.
The address which was watched live by over 20,000 people on Facebook, Kyagulanyi went on to remind his supporters that the government is trying all it can do to label them as violent people who they're not and also cautioned them to abide by the rules set so as to reach the d-day.
One of the highlights was when he spoke of the things the ruling party is planning on doing, which include switching off the internet and instructing another lockdown.
"We know that the regime is planning a lockdown, cut off internet services, massive arrests and cut off electricity. The regime has planned a tally centre in Mbuya barracks and Nakasongola to rig the elections." Said Kyagulanyi.
On 14th January, which will be the voting day, he urged his supporters to go in plenty and vote, keep social distance and after wait when the tallying begins. He also advised them to utilize their phones in taking as much evidence as possible and also share it online as it's the biggest weapon they have.
