Stand up comedian, Mc Mariachi real names Charles Kasozi has attacked the 'people's president', Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, branding him a beggar.
Mr. Kasozi was unhappy that Bobi Wine failed to support and help artistes when he was still in Parliament.
He said that Mr. Wine has no moral authority to criticize musicians who traveled to Gulu to meet Gen Salim Saleh for funds
This is because he (Bobi Wine) also is a beggar in a way that he used to beg for votes. Mc Mariachi went on to instruct Bobi Wine to quit calling musicians beggars.
"He should stop mocking the poor artistes. He should stop calling fellow artistes beggars because he’s a beggar too. He begged us for votes. Bobi Wine should check his language,” Mariachi said while being interviewed by a local television station.
Several weeks ago, the Uganda Music Association led by Chameleone treked to Gulu to meet Gen.Sakim Saleh and asked for financial support for several artistes.
However, Bobi Wine looked at these developments with disappointment and penned a lengthy lecture on his social media, calling the artistes beggars.
His missive was however met with flared spirits as musicians pinned him down particularly his nemesis Bebe Cool who labeled him selfish and advised him to keep quiet.
