Martha Kay advises Samson Kasumba to try and have some humility after he brags about car ownership in the current fuel flactuating prices.

Every person is surely feeling the pinch of the price flactuation of every commodity as on the market. Now that the fuel price has increased that the litre has already hit 6,000ugx, many have had to park their cars and halt them because of the high cost of living as a way to cut down on costs or their expenditure.

This is something that former NBS TV news anchor Samson Kasumba does not relate to. As soon as the fuel prices hiked, he turned to his Twitter page to post how many people have decided to give their cars a rest because of the file price increment. He mentioned that the file prices were meant to prove who is meant to be driving and who begun to drive out of the band wagon effect, driving just because the big boys were driving.

He went ahead to plead that fuel prices be increased to 10,000 Ugx instead just for him to prove that he will still be driving his car, a sign that he was born for the road and he was not just any wannabe hiding his poverty behind wheels of a vehicle.

Some people drove because they saw us driving. Now we shall know those who were supposed to be on the road. Have you also noticed that since the fuel hike, rogue driving has come down? Bring the thing to 10k we shall still drive cars. Defying anything to remind us of poverty,” Kasumba tweeted.

This tweet has since then become the talk of the Twitter community who are very angry with Samson's reasoning and the way he has gone about the fuel flactuation news. Every one is bitter as his comment section had been piling negativity, condemning him for his bravant toungue and considering him very inconsiderate.

Among the many people who have come out to disagree with his reasoning is comedian Martha Kay. Martha Kay decided to give Samson Kasumba a lesson on humility as she mentioned to him that people were out there struggling and finding means to survive while he was out here bragging about a car and hiked fuel prices.

Martha Kay mentioned that it is the role of those who hold higher positions just like him to come out and be of help to the people who are in need and are lacking because they have even failed to afford the basic needs due to hiked prices but yet there he was using his position of influence to brag about cars. She gave him a lesson, telling him to embrace humility because it doesn't cost a thing.

"Samson, while I have deep respect for you..this tweet is disappointing. While some have the privilege of going on with life, majority are deeply affected by the hike in prices. As the privileged, our job is to offer a helping hand and not celebrate their misery. Humility is free,” she tweeted.
