The National Unity Platform (NUP) MPs Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya and Hon. Allan Ssewanyana's murder case seemed far from getting done, as the two remain in prison due to attempts of securing their bail failing once again.
The Masaka high court underwent a reshuffle where Chief judge Dr. Flavian Zeija made Lawrence Tweyanze the Masaka High Court Chief Judge and according to Matovu Musa of Lukwago & Co. advocates, who're the lawyers of the two MPs, Chief Judge Tweyanze is still unresponsive about granting bail to Hon Ssegirinya and Hon Ssewanyana.
The former Chief Judge of Masaka High Court Victoria Nakintu Katamba who had granted the two MPs bail was given other responsibilities. The whole bail stalling follows the president Museveni's insistance that people accussed/suspected of committing murder SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED BAIL!
It looks like we're going to wait a little longer to finally see 'mr update' and 'musajja wa bwino' free again.
