Musician Bebe Cool promises to sue Airtel Uganda, alleges that data depletion is abnormal.

This would not be the first time you hear about someone calling out Airtel Uganda for the speedy and abnormal depletion of mobile data. Many times, customers of this communication network have come out to complain that their data consumption does bot tally with the way data gets depleted while using the Airtel network.

Well it seems like musician Bebe Cool has had enough of these games as he has made his intention to sue the communication company known. Bebe Cool has issued an intention to sue letter and threatened to take legal action against Airtel Uganda and this started because he felt rather angry after his 17 GB data bundle was unexpectedly depleted in a quite abnormal manner.

    Cool

It was in January of this year, Bebe Cool once expressed his dissatisfaction with Airtel Uganda’s services when he noticed that his subscribed data bundle had significantly decreased. At that time, he had purchased 22 GBs of data but to his surprise, he received a message  alert stating that he was remaining with only 5GBs after just a single click on TikTok.

To his shock however, in only a few minutes, he received another alert informing him that his data was completely depleted. He then demanded Airtel to return his data before mid morning, a plea they chose to ignore.

Yesterday however, Bebe Cool decided to teach Airtel Uganda a lesson after he sent an intention-to-sue letter, requesting a statistics usage chart of his mobile data bundle between January 16th 2024 and January 17th  2024.

    Bebe Cool

In this Intention to sue letter, Bebe Cool demanded a refund for his unused data bundle as well as  UGX 100,000,000 as compensation for his travel expenses and an additional UGX 100,000,000  of inconveniences caused within 21 days from the date of receipt of the letter.
