Former speaker of parliament and Iganga woman member of parliament Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has today been honored with prizes from the parliament, as a way of thanking her for the services to the August house.
Parliament clerk, Jane L Kibirige while presenting the gifts to Hon. Kadaga, she said the honorable during her 10 years in service did a tremendous job in strengthening the parliament and also fighting for women rights.
Kadaga is currently the second deputy prime minister and also minister of East African affairs. Kadaga was won in the previous Speaker election by fellow NRM member and her former deputy, Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.
