Party animals cry as bars remain closed.
    • April 16, 2021 • 4 years ago

Tonight, our prayers go to all the party animals, alcohol lovers and drunkards who thought bars would officially be opened today.

The president of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had a state of the nation talk concerning the Corona situation in Uganda.

He concluded that bars would not be open because there is no social distancing and it is easy for the virus to transmit through salvia and other body fluids with people shouting around each other.

Many Ugandans are not happy as some did not listen to the remaining bit of the speech after the president said that.

Many hoped bars would be opened officially in 2021.

Last month, the Bartender Association held a meeting crying out for jobs and money.

Many are living in bad conditions and need help as they haven't worked for a year.

However,it seems their cries have been ignored once again.

Bars have been closed since 18th March, 2020.

Around ten prominent bars in Kampala have shut down due to lack of funds to keep them in business yet they had no customers.

Other bars such as levels and Normads decided to Branch out and expand their business by have a restaurant, spa among others which are currently allowed to operate.

The main reason bars fail to work is because of curfew as most bars make money in the late nights.
