The beef between city pastors Bugingo and Bugembe has begun to dig deeper as the two are not willing to sit on the same table or to see eye to eye anymore. Pastor Bugingo has bowed that any advert regarding Pastor Bugembe or his church shall never run on his TV station, Salt TV as it will be a very bad influence on his followers and believers.
Pastor Bugingo mentioned that Bugembe decided to turn secular and entertained all the wrong people during his concert that took place last week at Hotel Africana. He mentioned that he tolerated secular musicians, witches as well as drunkards and that the concert was not a gospel concert but a pretend gospel concert.
"If we don’t advertise those things, just understand. I don’t want my people to be misled. I have nothing against Bugembe but I don’t want to advertise things that will throw people off the right path,” Pr. Bugingo said during a sermon.
Pastor Bugembe however mentions that he did not go astray and turn the house of God into a laughing stock but he was trying to get close to sinners and make them see that the best path for them was through God. He mentioned that he was only trying to welcome sinners into the house of God to show them that they could seek solace there without being judged.
Pastor Bugingo further said that Bugembe would be the same person who can tolerate even drunkenness at his own wedding. He mentioned that since Bugembe was not yet married, everyone should wait for the wedding and see how drunkards and alcohol will be the order of the day.
