A few years back, a video of Prophet Samuel Kakande the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Mulago selling “holy rice” for Sh50000 went viral, more precisely in 2017. Social media went wild with anger over this. He was however not the only prophet that was practicing these acts as there were also various prophets selling out handkerchiefs as well as anointing oil.
Pastor Kakande was also famous for his extremely expensive Holy water whereby his followers were seen flocking the church grounds with small bottles as well as jerrycans in order to collect this water and pertake of the blessings that he proclaimed. However much the public was running wild with girecek anger, his followers, however, asserted that the rice was indeed holy and that they could attest to the miracles that had occurred in their lives.
Prophet Samuel Kakande, after a long silence has decided to strike yet again with another tremendous antic that has driven social media into yet another frenzy. He has asked his followers to donate money so he can purchase a new vehicle.
In the video making rounds on social media, Kakande is heard pleading with his followers to send him $300 or Shs1 million so he can purchase a new car. He started with converting the sum he needs from every follower in Kenya shillings as well as dollars and ugandan shillings. He then went ahead to clarify that this was not forced but rather he was only speaking to his followers that love him.
Kakande claimed that while he desperately needs a new car, he is unable to afford one and is unable to use church funds because they are intended for other church-related purposes, such as the building of the church. This Thursday is the planned date for the fundraiser.
