Former Assistant Inspector General of Police now the late Gen. Paul Lokech has been put to rest today in Pader, where a number of dignitaries attended his burial.
Lokech died of blood clot last week, which came at a time when the country was mourning the death of another general, Gen. Pekos Kutesa who died of cancer while in India on treatment.
In his send off message, H.E the president of Uganda, Yoweri K Museveni thanked the late general for being a very hard working man in all his plights while serving the army, since the days of the L.R.A rebels and the terrprists fight in Somalia, which earned him the name 'lion of Mogadishu."
Maj. General Kahinda Otafire, the misister for internal affairs who delivered the president's message, also read that the president promoted the late general to the rank of Lieutenant General as a sign of appreciation for the great work done.
May the soul of the lieutenant general rest in eternal peace.
