According to reports, Kylian Mbappe has signed a contract to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Kylian Mbappe announced he would leave Paris Saint Germain when his current deal expires on 30th June.
Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid for a long time but is now expected to officially join the UEFA Champions league winners on 1st July.
After Kylian Mbappe transferred from AS Monaco to Paris Saint Germain, it made him the second most expensive player in history. This is because Paris Saint Germain paid £165.7 million to secure his services.
Kylian Mbappe has won six Ligue 1 titles and other numerous domestic cups with Paris Saint Germain but he failed to lead the club to it's ultimate goal of winning the UEFA Champions league.
Paris Saint Germain were defeated by Bayern Munich in the Champions league final of 2020. They were also defeated by Borussia Dortmund in the semi finals of the recently concluded Champions league.
After making 308 appearances and scoring 256 goals for Paris Saint Germain, Kylian Mbappe is now set to join Real Madrid.
It is reported that he signed a contract on Sunday after verbally agreeing a move to the Laliga champions in February. Real Madrid could announce the signing of the French superstar in the coming days.
MANCHESTER CITY MONITORING RODRYGO INCASE HE WANTS TO LEAVE REAL MADRID
With Real Madrid preparing to announce the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Manchester City are reported to be interested in offering Rodrygo a route away from Real Madrid if his place in the starting eleven is taken by Kylian Mbappe.
If Rodrygo finds himself side lined and wants a move away from Real Madrid, Manchester City would be prepared to launch a bid for him.
Liverpool FC have also been long admirers of Rodrygo and could also make a move for the Brazilian if he is no longer wanted at Real Madrid. However, a number of clubs have also been linked with Rodrygo in recent months.
Real Madrid value Rodrygo very highly and it has been reported they would reshuffle their entire team just to make a space for the Brazilian.
With four years left on his contract, Real Madrid are currently not concerned about Rodrygo's future since he is happy at the club and has no interest in leaving at the moment.
