A few days back Crysto Panda came out and proposed that no artiste should be paid to perform on fellow artistes concert. Crysto Panda whose real name is Kityamuweesi Herbert who started his music career in 2017 with his single ‘Sagala Manya’ in which he featured David Agent believes this would have been an act of supporting each other, rather than extorting money from fellow artistes.
“No Artist should be PAID to perform on a fellow artist’s concert,” Panda posted
However, fellow singer Rickman of ‘ebango baliwanika' come out and rubbished Crysto Panda’s proposal reminding him that they don’t feed on ‘thank you very much’ and all those other lousy compliments.
He went ahead to mention that these artistes are also people who need to feed themselves and their families and also take care of footing their medical bills so a simple thank you for performing would never cut the deal for them. Rickman mentioned that once he has his own concert, he will have a budget for every service provider so that he never pits anyone in a predicament.
“If I ever have a concert, I will definitely have a budget for artistes, djs, mcees and for every service provider because these people don’t feed on thank you very much. If an artiste offers to perform for free, well and good, ” he replied
According to the opinion poll, very many netizens are backing up Singer Rickman, saying that that would be extortion of these talents simply because they also need to earn money to feed their families.
