Over the past one month, various sniggles and giggles have been going around Kampala referring to Sheebah Karungi as the “cool nakyeyombekedde” around town.
Various clips of Sheebah’s interviews have been circling around with the Queen herself giving us her own definition of the vernacular word “nakyeyombekedde”.
She even mentions to fans that many of them have been misusing the term and goes ahead to clarify it for everyone.
She defines a nakyeyombekedde as; an independent woman who has worked so hard and built herself. She also goes on to explain how proud of herself she is because of her achievements as a self-built woman.
In one of the interviews, one with cruzxclusive, Sheebah when asked about marriage goes ahead to inform her fans that although at a certain point in the “future” she intends to get a man, she doesn’t intend to get married.

Following these interviews, a buzz on different social media pages including Facebook, instagram and twitter where many people have mockingly referred to the queen as “the coolest nakyeyombekedde.”
In fact a few weeks after Sheebah gave this statement, Cindy Ssanyu, a fellow musician posted a catchy caption on her instagram @cindysanyu;
“I do not get women who are constantly bashing men when their whole world is sponsored by men. For your business you have a male manager, male promoters and even makeup artistes then you turn around and say women should be independent? Oh please….,” she wrote.”
Many fans however presume that this caption had everything to do with Sheebah’s previous interviews.
Cindy has however managed to keep the public wondering on whether this post was directed to Sheebah or not. Who knows?!
Although amidst all this Sheebah has now remained silent on the topic and continues to carry on her name as the coolest nakyeyombekedde as she is seen in a few videos heartily saying it to her fans.
