On Monday last week, news started coming through that, city tycoon "Sipapa" was under arrest.
This was revealed by family members who noticed their relative was missing and not taking any of their calls. His wife, Shamira in particular alerted Sipapa's close friends of his disappearance.
His friends took action and started looking for the tycoon until they heard that he was at Kiira Road Police Station. On reaching Kiira Road Police station, the officers confirmed having detained Sipapa but did not let anybody see him.
The next days Tuesday and Wednesday, Sipapa's lawyer called Counsel Sam tried accessing his client but was denied access. Sam later got a chance to see him last week.
Sipapa was arrested together with other people like musician, Record Era Butida who sang "Baka Basajja Banyuma", his daughter and Sipapa's driver known as Julius which was revealed by lawyer Sam and close friends of the tycoon who finally got a chance to see him on Wednesday.
When was Sipapa Arrested
His close friend in an interview said he could have been arrested the previous week before that Monday because he was not picking his calls and was hard to reach.
His friend further added that he had access to the report from the search police carried out on Sipapa's residence and told us that the police officers did not find any evidence to pin against the city tycoon.
Why was Sipapa Arrested
Rumours have it that the tycoon likes playing around with firearms as if they are toys. He is said to own some guns that he occasionally moves with and this could have brought him the current problems he is facing.
In 2020, during the campaign season, Sipapa's men shot at People near the home of Fred Nyanzi , who is Bobi Wine's older brother and this confirmed that the guy actually moves with guns as the rumours have always claimed.
