There are many scuffles within the music industry. It is beef everywhere and it has been noted that musicians nowdays strive on beef to promote their music. Take a look at what is going on between King Saha and Bebe Cool which has led to involvement of Bebe's son Allan Hendrick known as paper Daddy. And what about the beef between Sheebah and Cindy Sanyu? Almost every big artiste survives on beef to promote themselves.
Spice Diana was also big on beef at the time she was not in good terms with Sheebah Karungi. However much they burried the hatchet and are now able to see eye to eye, their war times still remain unforgettable. Spice Diana has however come out to mention that many musicians feel jealous whenever new talents come up. This jealousy is riled by insecurities that the newbie may end up stealing the show while the old ones keep in one place.
Taking a look at the likes of Azawi, such insecurities seem justified however because the moment she entered the industry, where she bacame hot cake in an instant. She is already succeeding with maiden concerts and she is one of the fast rising artistes in the industry currently(when I say fast, I mean really fast!) .Spice Diana however believes many think there is no space for all musicians, yet they can coexist without suffocating each other because everyone is capable of cultivating a fan base.
"There is a culture in the music business that suffocates new artists. Old guards tend to feel insecure, yet the cake is big for everyone," Spice Diana explains.
It should be noted that many Ugandan artists have built careers off battles they find themselves locked in with fellow musicians but that is not the way to go. Spice Diana has a strong point here when she mentions that old guards are intimidated by the fresh bloods so the end up not working Well with them in order to suffocate them yet the industry is big enough to accommodate them all. (Loosen up old folks, let everyone get their chance)
