After parting ways with head coach Hamza Lutalo, Kampala Queens FC yesterday announced the appointment of former Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje as their assistant coach on a one year contract.
Former head coach Hamza Lutalo had led Kampala Queens to a 39matches streak, winning 28, drawing 8 and losing only 3 games while scoring 55 goals, thus leading the Queens to winning the FUFA Women's Super League Title.
The current FUFA Women Super League champions announced Mawejje's appointment via their social media platforms. "We are pleased to announce Tonny Mawejje as our new assistant coach for the next year."
Mawejje's first task as assistant coach will be to help Kampala Queens to qualify for the CAF Women's Champions League. This they will have to win the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers which are slated to take place later this year.
