Abdullah Mubiru's first game as Uganda Cranes coach yielded a goalless draw with visitors Burkina Faso despite Cranes' pressing game in the second half of the game.
The cranes hosted the West Africa's team in a "must win" match for the team to qualify for AFCON 2022 in Cameroon. However, the draw slimmed our hope of qualifying because as the group B stands, Uganda is second with 8 points while Burkina Faso qualified with 9 points.
Uganda Cranes will face third placed Malawi away in their final group match and a draw will see the cranes go through. Malawi also has a chance of qualifying if they win the game because they won 1-0 against bottom placed South Sudan, making it a point behind cranes with seven points.
The match will take place on Sunday 28th/3/2021 in Malawi. The cranes aims at having their third consecutive qualification, having done so in 2017, 2019 and now this time round. All the best to the boys.
