At4:00pm EAT today, Uganda Cranes will be battling with West Africa's Burkina Faso in a very decisive game in group B of the AFCON qualifiers.
The cranes sit in second place with 7points behind table leaders Burkina Faso who have 8points. With two games left for each team including today's game, Uganda needs to accumulate at least three points from them to qualify for the AFCON for the third time in a row.
The match will be played at St Mary's stadium Kitende, home to Uganda Premier league club, Vipers FC and it will be broadcast live on UBC TV. This is also going to be the first match when the cranes are managed by a Ugandan coach Abdullah Mubiru and Fred Kajoba who're interim coaches since the temporary suspension of Ian Mcnistry.
It's indeed a great task but with what Morley Byekwaso did with the cranes U20 in the recently concluded AFCONU20 tournament, we can say Mubiru and the team are confident to get the better result. Uganda Cranes will face third placed Malawi in their final group match on Sunday 28th/March/2021 in Malawi. Hard luck to the boys.
