The news of Uganda hosting Afghan refugees has been going on for over a week and by the look of things, the long wait seems to be finally over.
A ccording to a document published on the official Twitter account of UBC, a total of 51 Afghan evacuees touched down Entebbe airport in a privately chattered plane and these include men. women and children.
JUST IN: Vehicles leaving the airport with evacuees from Afghanistan who arrived this morning aboard a privately chartered flight at Entebbe International Airport. #UBCUpdates reads the tweet.
All these have gone a mandatory Covid-19 taste imposed on everyone entering/leaving the country and they have been taken to Impereal Resort Beach Hotel Entebbe where.
The document hinted that the refugees are in Uganda temporarily as both Uganda and her long-term partner USA figure out what to do for them. It's yet to be confirmed if more Afghan evacuees will be jetting in but in case of any developments, we'll be notifying you.
