The Startimes Uganda Premier League title challenge is going down to the wire, after Vipers FC and KCCA dropping points and SC Villa winning its match. SC Villa got their only goal in the 47th minute of the second half through Charles Bbaale and held onto it till the final whistle.

Villa's win took it straight to the top of the table with 52points after 27 games, 2points more than 2nd place Vipers FC and 3rd place KCCA FC, both of which dropped points. KCCA played out a 0-0 draw against 12th place Busoga United in Njeru.

Vipers on the other hand had to wait until the added minutes of second half to score an equalizer against BUL FC. Abdul Karim Watambala's 93rd minute penalty canceled out Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte's goal for BUL FC that had come in the 65th minute.

Vipers and KCCA drawing means SC Villa could win its 17th league title on Saturday should they( SC Villa) win their match against URA , regardless of how the results from Vipers FC and KCCA FC's matches will be.
