When you talked Ugandan female artistes who can crazily light up the stage with their performances in the past, the names that instantly came up in mind are Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi. However today, it appears that songbird Karole Kasita, is jostling to join the fray, if not topping its list.
Kasita's stage presence, engagement with the audience and vocal prowess are her strongest assets. When she hits stage, she turns into the center of attention, time plays in her favor to shine and so she shines. Of late, the singer who aswell doubles as a great dancer of late chose to take it a notch higher by performing with other dancers on stage who add a touch of more satisfaction to it, those that have seen her perform at immediate past events can testify to this.
While at it, an excited Karole Kasita gives her all to a male dancer on stage, she then lets the dancer dub and pump her from behind. On many occasions, the dancer then grabs her waist and then shows her fire making her react like she's feeling her lionos in a sexy manner something that lights up the crowd leaving the audience, mostly men very mesmerized and tantalized that many of them finish up her performance while pocketing, why they do so, is a story for another day.
During one of her recent performances, the slender and naughty singer caused a huge reaction in the crowd when her and the dancer began seductively twerking live on stage. Okay, we understand twerking is normal in Uganda now days but what made this particular performance a little bit unique was the way Karole was lifted high up in the air by his strong and masculine dancer. While at it, the dancer quickly put Karole by his waistline and began demonstrating how he would pump the hell out of her if at all his actions were happening in the real bed room & not on stage.
The “Nkuba Yaka” singer who joined the music industry a few years back has mastered her craft over time. Several words can be coined to explain how her latest performances be but the befitting one is "epic", everything falls into place perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. Although she's the goddess at it, we believe that there are hazards that come with any hustle, there instances where Karole Kasita has had it move from best to worst while serving us the great stage performances we all love.
Two instances to note are the time she performed in South Sudan and her wig fell off during a stage performance in Juba, South Sudan and another at Comedy store when her pants burst. At both instances, we blame it to this energetic and vibrant stage performance however, we at the same time credit her because like like anyother champion, she managed not to die in her own movie but rather replacing her wig on her head and asking for a boxer from comedian Kalela to cover the burst part of her pants in South Sudan and at Comedy store respectively. She straight away proceeded with her fun-filled shows leaving revelers entertained to the maximum even when they captured her clips and shared them online.
Over the years, Karole kasita has continued to give us more great music that adds to her already big hits catalogue of songs we always yearn to her to perform on stage. Her latest single titled Nywaamu came off as her birthday gift to the fans. Produced by Nessim, and mastered by Herbert Skills, Nywamu is an Afro-dancehall groove that encourages partygoers to have a drink and celebrate the life they have and whatever it is they have achieved, no matter how little. The video was shot by Sasha Vybz and its concept resembles that of late American singer Micheal Jackson’s Thriller. However, at some point, it crosses from a thriller to a regular partying concept, with powerful dance moves.
This is another banger we are yet to vibe to as the Stage Goddess does her usual magic to it on stage.
