With less than a month to the swearing in of president elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the defence force has come out to alert Ugandans about people planning to disrupt the occasion, as said by UPDF spokesperson Brig. Flavia Byekwaso.
"I would like to bring to your attention the continued hate speech by a section through foreigners. Recently they are saying they're going to interrupt the swearing in of the president come 12th May 2021. We are all aware that the president of the republic of Uganda has warned against tribalism and sectarianism." Said Brig. Byekwaso during a media address yesterday.
She said this while holding placards with "TAJJA KULAYIRA, LEKA N'OMUGANDA AFUGE" written on them and claimed they are aware of these people and are going to arrest them. "We urge those who're planning for such to stop because we're aware and know where they are."
