Wow, and you will see them on all political tv shows and radios discussing Bebecool’s processions while EC is just looking on this,” this was a rather angry Moses Ssali alias Bebe cool on his social media.
Singer Bebe Cool has slammed the Electoral Commission for allegedly looking on as presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine breaks electoral guidelines issued to contain the spread of Coronavirus in Uganda.
Bebe who is a sworn supporter of President Yoweri Museveni and his ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), has in the past been also accused of holding processions for the president who is also the party candidate in the 2021 general election.
The EC chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama, however, said he has issued several warnings to the candidates.
“We have warned the candidates that being a presidential candidate does not put you up in Heaven; above the law,” Justice Byabakama said in an interview with NBS TV.
Bobi Wine has had several of his campaign rallies dispersed by security operatives in attempt to enforce the electoral guidelines issued by EC to contain further spread of Coronavirus which has infected 20,459 Ugandans and killed 205 since March this year when the virus outbreak was confirmed in the country.
