Certainly Uganda will hold its next general elections in 2021 but most flabbergastingly already about seven musicians and actors have hinted their intentions to vie for political positions in Parliament despite the heavy critcism on the side of Kato Lubwama for Rubaga South, Judith Babirye, Buikwe north who have remained sterile and incompetant ever since they stepped foot into Uganda’s tenth parliament.
This time a number of musicians are determined to encounter and chellenge in the coming elections and these include :
1.Patriko Mujuuka is an actor, comedian and long serving Buganda Kingdom radio presenter eying the Nakifuma constituency seat in 2021.
2.Hilary Kiyaga, also known as Doctor Hilderman, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Ronald Mayinja and renowned BukeddeTv presenter Flavia Namulindwa for Gomba constituency.
Musicians or artistes are playing the cards in their favour using the gigantic popularity they have with their fans to back them up, However there are alot of question marks on whether this urge to vie for political positions isn't just a camouflage to engulf their own personal interests.
Will these musicians do as they promise because basing on statistics amongst all those that matched into parliament it has only been Robert Kyagulanyi how has managed to shake the political tree unlike his comrades Kato Lubwama and Judith Babirye who have been luxuriously enjoying the back seats something that erupts more questions about these muaicians.
