Henry Kabiito, father to sinher Winnie Nwagi has vome out to mention that there are people that are after his daughter and their major aim is to destroy her reputation as well as her career. Winnie's dad reasoned that the people who recorded the video that went viral on social media, in which Nwagi was being chased away from the internal affairs ministry premises, have been at it for long.
A devastated Henry said their aim is to destroy his daughter’s future, something they were apparently succeeding in because the public was starting to lash at Nwagi hence she is losing her fan base just because of a few people who do not wish her well.
“My daughter has enemies who want to see her fail in life. They always track her movements to expose her faults yet every human being has their own,” he said.
When he was asked to comment on her dress code, he argued that his daughter wears skimpy clothes because of her line of business, which is entertainment. This is the same thing that Nwagi herself told critics as they told her she dressed indescently. He mentioned that in the entertainment industry, rhis was the new normal and they all dress like that so his daughter should not be on the spotlight for it yet everyone does it. Kabiito said Nwagi has better clothes for school visitation days and other respectable places.
He then humbled himself and asked the public to let his daughter be because she moves around the world and copies trends. It is not her fault that she lives in a changing society as she also only does as she sees fit. He mentioned that she was not even skimpy and if it was a white woman that appeared in that clothing they would treat her the same.
“How skimpy was she? If it was a white woman that came to the ministry, would they chase her? I don’t think they would. Winnie has been moving to several countries abroad and she has learnt from there. If you feel so bad about her dress code, I will buy for her a gomesi’ so that the next time she goes there, she puts it on,” he promise
Henry was also asked about what he thought of his daughter constantly thumping her fans and smacking them across their faces. He mentioned that Nwagi is very humble and she only reacts when she is triggered. He therefore mentioned that for every reaction Nwagi gives off, she is just pushed to the wall and she reacts.
