Recently during her performance in Munyonyo, the young Rema K who is said to be in primary three saw herself being bounced off the big stage by musician Cindy Sanyu who was meant to offer her a stage platform to perform, and this was meant to be her breakthrough performance.
Cindy Sanyu, according to her words believes that a child as young as this should not be out on the streets or anywhere at such wee hours of the night performing for such mature crowds but instead be home in the comfort of her bed and home.
Cindy also added that the manner in which the young girl was dancing was too dirty for such a young girl and she should never have been subjected to this world of Fame at such a tender age. Many heaped praises on Cindy and her motherly instincts, mentioning that she was doing what is right by the child and that the child would understand after she grew older.
"I’m sorry that I had to chase her off stage. But as a mother, I can’t tolerate seeing a young girl in the wee hours of the night performing for a mature audience while sexualizing her performance. That is robbing her of her childhood, it’s taking away her innocence." Cindy mentioned
The news on the desk is that the young girl does not recognize how Cindy's actions were meant to help her become a better person. In dismay, she recorded a video in tears, calling out Cindy and telling her how terrible of a person she is. Rema K went ahead to lament and say that Cindy trashed all her self confidence Infront of her fans and that is something she could never forgive her for.
Rema K also mentioned that it was due to circumstances that she was out of the house at such night hours trying to fend for her family and make ends meet. What started as a heroic act from Cindy has turned into a very disheartening injustice in the eyes of this young girl.
