LISTEN TO AUDIO: Zari Hassan calls boyfriend Shakib Stupid (Fala) when translated to Luganda
Recently, Zari Hassan was severely criticized by Netizens for belittling her hubby Shakib Cham Lutaaya. This is after a leaked audio started making rounds on the Internet where Zari was heard referring to Shakib as young and naive, and she went as far as calling him a 'fala' which directly translated means a stupid person
The South African-based businesswoman has now shared a video calling out a UK promoter named Lady Naa for leaking the audio that was sent to her in confidence. She also cleared the air that she called Shakib a 'fala' in a sarcastic manner and that she didn't mean it at all.
Zari mentioned that she was only looking out for her hubby and she only realized she was talking to the wrong person. According to Zari, the voice note was only used against her at the wrong timing so as to make her look bad, something she said was unfair.
In Zari's own words, she said that it is always women who get the conversations they talked about with friends to use them against their friends when they deem it convenient for themselves, knowing it will hurt their friends. She called out women who leak information to the public when they get into disagreements and told them to stop the hypocrisy.
"I was just looking out for my husband, telling a friend or a person that I thought was a friend. And it's always females who do that and she makes it look like this is the first event that I've done. She decided to use that voice note at the wrong timing where it was going to look bad. We were chatting, we were vibing, it wasn't in bad faith that I was talking about my husband," she said
Netizens however made it a point to educate Zari, telling her that saying such things about her husband, even as a joke is not good and she should stop belittling him just because he is younger than she is
