It was 2021 when Cinderella Sanyu commonly known as Cindy, also known as The King Herself, took over the reins of the presidency from the previous UMA President Wycliff Tugume, also known as Ykee Benda, after the latter resigned from the position.
Ykee resigned, claiming he was on the receiving end of insults yet he was not even gaining anything from the said position. He came out to praise Cindy, who was his Vice president by then and then mentioned that she was able to lead the Association, handing over power to her.
Currently, many artists have shown interest in UMA presidency and among them are Bebe cool, Daddy Andre as well as King Saha. Many have however come out to front King Saha because they believe he is humble and capable of leadership.
This has however not sat well with Cindy because she believes she still needs to take over presidency. Cindy came out to mention that everyone who has shown interest is not ready for the position and yet she still has too much to accomplish as President. Cindy said she has nothing against the applicants but they still need a little more experience because as for her, she still had a lot to accomplish.
