Not so long ago, song writer Ssenyonjo Frederick also known as Blackskin ran to social media to lament about not having recieved full payment from Gagamel star Bebecool for the song titled 'Gyenvudde' which he wrote for him.
He said there was a breach of contract on Bebecool's part because it had been in agreement that he was not to release the song until he had made a full payment for it to the song writer.
When Blackskin ran to social media, he threatened Bebecool that he was more than ready to expose him and he said he had failed to pay the remaining dime forthe song yet he had released it.
This led to Blackskin's arrest, being charged with crimes of offensive communication and he was remanded at Luzira prison. Blackskin however refused to apologize because he believes he only came out and said the truth.
"I spoke the truth and I refuse to apologises for it!" He said.
Artistes have come out together with music fans to advocate for the freedom of songwriter Blackskin and a few who have made this clear include the Muzindalo hitmaker Khalifa Aganaga as well as smart wire hitmaker Vampino.
Vampino took to his facebook page and put up a poster advocating for the freedom of the song writer.
" Art is always a given gift. Let's solve this and have harmony in our creative industry. Prison is not the only solution." He posted.
This post has however got many reactions from fans and some say Bebecool was right to sue him but most say Bebecool should drop the charges on his songwriter afterall he should be able to write his own songs for he has been in the industry long enough.
