Kampala wives have come out to air their grievances in form of a protest. Women got placards and wrote very many of their grievances and staged on different sites within Kampala while holding up the placards, demanding for justice from their dear Husbands who were going around sleeping with side chicks and giving the side chicks all the attention, leaving none for the housewives.
A few major issues the wives mentioned are as follows;
Prices have increased. Kameeza money has not.”
“Wives also deserve trips to Dubai.”
“Side dishes are fishing our husbands.”
“Increase Kameeza money.”
“Dear husband, the best food is at home.”
“Watch soccer with the boys, but eat at home.”
"Dear husband, you need to more spend time at home."
They have complained about side chicks getting every good thing yet they are the ones toiling with the husbands in marriage. Most wives also complained about the economy not favoring the amount of money that is left for home use and utilities for the home yet for the side chicks, a lot of money is dashed their way.
Not long after the staged protest had begun, police rounded up the Kampala wives and took them all the way to Kampala Central Police for disruption of public activities. According to the Public Order Management act, all protests must first be reported to the Police before they happen.
The association of husbands of Kampala, however are now investigating to find out who sponsored these protests that were staged by their wives.
