Word has it that City tycoon SK Mbuga is set to overhaul and turn STV into a sports television. After he failed to pay employees and many of them decided to flee, STV turned problematic for Mbuga.
STV is a channel that started out well with a reasonable number of viewers and there was hope to increase veiwership and turn this channel into a very powerful channel but according to the way events unfolded, all these plans failed for Tycoon SK Mbuga.
In 2019, SK Mbuga invested over 10bn in STV and many believed this channel would kick start and be great, making many returns for tge city tycoon. three years down the road, however, the TV station is still struggling to capture the mass market despite recruiting the likes of Kazibwe Mbaziira Bashir, Tamale Mirundi, Full Figure and many others.
At first, SK Mbuga was counting on political talk shows as well as entertainment with hopes that it would boost his viewers but it did bot turn out as expected. Now there is news that the tycoon is now planning to change the station to become a full Sports channel because there is limited competition in that field.
