Patrick Salvador Idringi has continued to trend on the internet for “not the best of reasons” but for releasing controversial statements. It should be noted that the man from Ombokolo is an adent fan of the incumbent president and newly elected leader Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa and has openly expressed his love and support for him on social media.
Yesterday however, Salvador made a tweet that to many twitter users was very out of place and my oh my! The comments indeed show you the anger from them. "Supporting Kaguta Museveni doesn’nt necessarily mean I agree with everything his gov’t does. The general treatment of opposition during the whole election period has been appaling especially the treatment of abobi wine.” This is part of his tweet.
He furthermore laughed at people hoping and believing that at one point Africa will ever have free and fair elections/transition of power. “As for free and fair elections, I’m sorry if you think this can be achieved in Africa. It’s taken me time to share my feelings coz well whatever i tried to communicate was watered down by insults but at the end of the day i’m human and I know injustice.”
We don’t know what you take of these statements, but twitter people surely didn’t take them lightly. One user quoted the tweet and likened it to massacres done during Hitler’s times well as the admin of the official account of Forum for democratic Change FDC decided to go poetic with the quote and said, “And then we thought remembering the mouth is in the dark was a no-brainer until...????”
