Singer Kasozi James alias VIP Jemo recently came out and admitted that he was surviving on the mercy of sugar mummies as life was turning out to be hard on him. The 'Sima' hitmaker claimed he was broke beyond redemption and Netizens never took it serious, brushing it off as a comedy stunt from him.
Well no one knew things would get to the point that he actually resorted to snatching phones from pedestrians in the wee hours.
A man who accuses VIP Jemo of trying to forcefully make off with his phone explains that the VIP Jemo, while in company of three other colleagues who were hiding in the dark, attacked him with knives and threatened to end his life while ordering him to surrender his wallet and phone.
According to the man, he screamed on the top of his lungs and was able to attract the attention of security guards who were near him and they ran to his rescue. When the thief was caught, the crowds never disappointed as they turned up to commit a little mob justice. To their utter shock and disappointment, the thief turned out to be the faded singer VIP Jemo.
