“I hereby express my intention for UMA vice presidency with the following intentions: unity in the industry, digitizing the industry, legal protection of our craft, engagement of all musicians across the country and no politics in the music business,”
so was the manifesto of the aspiring Vice Président of Uganda Musician's Association Musician Allan Hendrick Byamukama Ssali, son to Musician Bebe Cool.
He aspired to lead however much he was not supported by his father Bebe Cool who was vying for the Presidency of UMA. Despite the lack of support from his daddy, he still made his intentions clear that he was still running for the post because he was not winning based on his birth rights.
Sadly, however, this dream has been short lived for Hendrick because he has been scrapped off the nomination list and has not made it to the final round. We are unsure how he has received this news because he really had high hopes for this post.
The reason for his elimination is said to have been failure to fulfill all the requirements necessary for nomination and the fact that he was an inactive member for almost two entire years. It is sad for his fandom and his supporters to see him end up this way.
