This year's Grammys were indeed a thrill for some stars with their fans starting with how Arya Star, Asake, Burna Boy, Davido and Olamide missed out on the African Category awards.
The South African counterpart, Tyla, instead got herself lucky as she won the maiden Best African Music Performance Category at these 66th Grammy's.
She indeed claimed the historic gramophone on Sunday night and it was undoubtedly a beautiful night for her as well as her fans.
Arya Starr reveals that she had prepared her acceptance speech for this but then again her not taking the award home did not stop her from congratulating the one who did take it.
She took to her “Twitter” page on Monday morning to congratulate Tyla.
She wrote “Congratulations to my babesssss @Tylaaaaaaa”
This was no surprise for those that have followed up these two stars because they once collaborated on the hit song Girl Next Door.
The ‘water’ hit maker did get herself a sweet beginning of 2024 as she did not only take a Grammy award home but also kept her friends intact. Let's not pretend because we all know there are artists that would do the unexpected childish jealous fights and bad talk over awards. Well thank God none of it happened between the two wonderful artists.
I mean a lot of chaos has already been stired this year!!
