On Thursday, Uganda Musicians Association's electoral committee announced the fully vetted candiadates for their general elections set to happen in mid May this year. Amongst all those that picked forms, only three were not announced candidates due to personal reasons we are about to reveal here.
Among those included, Fred Sebatta and Allan Hendrick who had stood for Kadongokamu representative and Vice President respectively, according to Geoffrey Ekongot, the Chairman of the Electoral committee, the pair chose to back out from the race at personal will even when they had all that it took to run for the positions.
The other person that wasnt announced was Sewa Sewa who was standing for position of general secretary, the chairman confirmed that Sewa was missing out on some requirements for the race and he was disqualified. On the other hand, the chairman also announced the Presidential debate for all the candidates in the race,
The debate will be happening on Saturday 30th April 2022 and will be broadcasted live on NBS TV and Sanyuka TV. He further revealed that the Presidential candidates willl go first from 4pm to 6pm on NBS TV and the rest of the executive positions candidates will go next from 9pm on Sanyuka TV.
