Following the political unrest within the Afghanistannation that saw the Taliban rebels take over the governance and the fleeing of president Muhammad Ghani, many nationals have started running to save their lives, taking refuge in any country ready tp take them in.
Earlier today, State minister for disaster preparedness Hon. Anyakun Esther came out to announce that Uganda will be tsking in 2000 Afghanistan refugees, as a request from the United States of America.
For the record, Uganda is one of the countries with many refugees, at the moment having over 1.4m refugees. Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan are the few nations that have more refgugees than Uganda.
Many have come out to bash the government over the move, claiming that the nation is already fighting to sustain the natives and then why bother taking in more refugees.
OPthers have also come out to claim that this is not doen because Uganda is very welcoming but rather the benefits that come with having more refugees, like donations and otherforms of financial aid. What has your 'conspiracy theorist' told you?
