Since, the relaxation of the total lockdown on 31st/July/2021, life has been slowly 'returning to normal' and some sectors have started getting back to their feet.
Among the sectors still locked down, the Education sector is still under lockdown with no clear signs on when learnrs are goint to resume school much as vaccination of teachers has been going on.
With the continued pressure arising from parents, teachers, school owners and other stake-holders, the minister of Education and Sports Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni has come out to respond to the arising concerns.
"As you know, the 15 million young school population hold the future of our country in their hands. If anything was to go wrong with them, God forbid, Uganda would be shattered." Said the First Lady who doubles as the Education Minister.
This has been seen as a rather weak reason from the minister, given nthe same government has allowed international schools to resume learning, leaving a number of unanswered questions from the public.
