Uganda is one of the many countries that are participating in this year's #DubaiExpo2020 happening in the United Arab Emirates. The expo began on 1st/October and it's expected to run till March next year.
While it was revealed that close to Ugx 3bn was injected to ensure the country has what to exhibit, Ugandans on the internet seemed not at all satisfied with what had been exhibited and how it was displayed.
The unrest began with a clip showing Uganda's exhibition point having no one to attend to people coming in and some MP delegated had taken up the duty of showing people around. As if this was not all, in came the photos of what was being exhibited!
Lato milk, Tea bags, Drums and other traditional intruments were on the front deck of the exhibition. Yes, you read that right. Well, one would ask a question of "What did people want them to exhibit?" Good question, and indeed Ugandans on social media did ask and, wait for it, the Minister of ICT responded.
"We're not exhibiting to you, goverment's targeted audience, the foreigners are happy with Uganda's display so far." said the ICT minister. So y'all 'entitled' Ugandans, whatever is being exhibited at the expo, you're not the target audience/market. So please relax your entitlement.
